While there won't be debate on the CAFE standard already in the energy bill, there is debate on renewable fuels. The video is representative Steve Chabot of Ohio on the money going to renewable fuels in the energy bill. Steve says billions of dollars is already in the farm bill supporting renewable fuels and the energy bill just exacerbates that. He thinks there is no need because the market for renewable fuels is doing just fine.
In the energy bill debate, Dingell made an appearance on the floor but did not talk about CAFE. Representative Brian Bilbray spoke against the ethanol mandate. Bilbray says it's not good for consumers or the environment. You can watch that video below the fold.
