Nissan to build and EV by 2010 with tech from Mixim concept

Nissan's European product boss Pierre Loing has told BusinessCar that the company plans to introduce a production electric car in Japan by the end of the decade. The car will use some of the technology at the heart of the Mixim concept that was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show last week. The new EV will be based on the SuperMotor design which has an electric motor driving each of the axles getting energy from a lithium ion battery pack. So far there is no word on what the configuration of the new car will be or if it will derive it's styling from the concept.
