Ethanol company POET announced today that it will present an update on what's been going on at the oh-so-humbly named Project Liberty at a summit on cellulosic ethanol in Washington, D.C. next week. Apparently, the "high-level governmental, agricultural, financial and commercial players" will need three days (Oct. 15-17) to digest the state of cellulosic ethanol in America.Aside from the presentation by Doug Berven, POET's director of corporate affairs, the following people will give keynote addresses:
- Chuck Conner, Acting Secretary of Agriculture
- Alexander Karsner, Assistant Secretary of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Department of Energy
- Jay Inslee, US Representative (D-WA)
